Your gift supports 34 Langham Scholars who still need funding for their PhD studies. Some have tuition payments due in January.

Marcio (right) grew up in Santa Ana, a neighborhood in Cambé, Brazil, where many kids never make it out of a cycle of gangs, violence, prostitution and drugs. He was almost one of them.

The direction of Marcio’s life changed when he met Jesus through the ministry of Langham Scholar Antonio Barro (left). After being taught by Antonio, Marcio started a ministry named Refúgio. It gives neighborhood children a “refuge,” a place to experience God’s love and a life where they’re not on their own.

Through the influence of scholars like Antonio and the leaders they train, a new generation in Brazil and beyond is hearing the hope of the gospel.

LANGHAM PREACHING

Your gift provides training to 3,750 preachers in 20 countries and trains the local church leaders who organize and lead Langham’s preaching seminars.

Jonacani encountered Christ for the first time while he was a college student in Fiji, where many people go to church but few hear the true gospel preached. His life changed, and he felt called to help other students experience the same transformation. But Jonacani had no background in how to read the Bible. Then his campus ministry went through Langham’s preaching seminars.

The training gave him a foundation for understanding the Word and teaching it to others clearly, faithfully and relevantly. The impact has been profound. After graduating, students equipped by Jonacani and his team are bringing the gospel back to their homes and communities, introducing even more people to the hope of the gospel.

Your gift sends 1,900+ books to students at 175 seminaries, completes two regional commentaries, and equips three Christian publishers to produce essential biblical resources.

At a small seminary in Bangkok, many students—like Chutiman—are first-generation Christians. Growing up in a Buddhist family, she had little access to Christian teaching. As she began serving in her church and teaching children, she longed for books that spoke clearly to Thai culture and answered the questions her neighbors asked.

That’s where Kanok Bannasan, a local publisher supported by Langham, stepped in. With Langham’s help, it translates key Christian texts and produces resources written for the Thai church. For Chutiman, books like Thai Christian Theology deepened her understanding of God and shaped the way she ministers in communities across the city. “These books help me so much,” she says. “They make me want to read the Bible more.”

Today, she is preparing to share the gospel cross-culturally—reaching Buddhist families and immigrant workers. The books she receives from Kanok Bannasan strengthen her faith and equip her to shine the light of Christ in her primarily Buddhist community.
